Touring the country in preparation for family visits

The Muhlesteins, Clingers and we all have family coming to Cambodia in the next couple months, so on one of our trip to Battambang to set up new Senior couple apartment, we spent an extra day after working to tour the Province.  This is a photo dump of some of the places we have visited.
Cambodia is a country full of tragedy, it has only been about 40 years where the country suffered genocide regime, we were glad to have visited some of the site and monument that memorize the suffering and pain that this country had gone through!  I am so thankful for the opportunity to be here to help and serve.  Most of all, I am thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ that can bring truth and peace to this land and heal the pain that the people had suffered!

Sunrise on our morning walk around the Independent Monument and it adjacent memorial of the Cambodia King.

Brother Lam on the front left, we went and eat his new Japanese restaurant.

Euro-town by Brother's Lam home, Big Ben behind us.

Sydney Opera House, miniture of course!

This is taken under the Eiffel Tower, can you see that we all have a halo!

The group under the tower.

If you look closer, you see all the skull being collected.  This is just a glimpse of what had taken place.

We walk thru a bamboo bridge to visit a Wat

Inside the Wat, Kampong Pil Pagoda

Large statue of Buddha

We are part of the group going fishing

Modern Bamboo train park

Sister Clinger pretending to sit like Buddha

Modern bamboo train with seats, we like the other one better

Inside Killing Cave ... see the skulls!

We were told the soldiers would push people down this cave.

Nice view from the killing cave looking down to the city

Bats come out of this cave every night and consume enough insect that save the over 2000 tons of rice, which is enough to feed 21,000 people!

On our way back to the city, this is the first time I see an accident.

A heavily loaded Semi truck toppled over to the side.
