A short trip home

August 8, 2022 at 1:52 am, we welcomed Emma Faye Crapo, she weighed in at 8 pounds and 20 inches long.  We are so happy for Mason and Brenda.  Brenda was supposed to be induced on Tuesday, but this little girl decided when she likes to come and she did!  We are beyond joy.

When we were thinking of coming to Cambodia, I had promised that I would become back for two weeks when the baby comes, I had purchased a ticket for August 15, and when they find out the doctor wants to induce on August 9, I try changing my ticket but the price keep going up so it is decided I would just come on the 15th as planned.  Then Baby has her own plan!  Here are pictures:

I am so thankful for good children who are willing to help each other.  Alicia went and spent a night helping with feeding and caring for the baby as I would have done.  We kept FaceTiming wherever Brenda needs help with feeling but having Alicia there, she become me!

I left Cambodia traveling with Elder Ken and Sister Merry Jones, who needed to go home because of a sudden death in the family, to Salt Lake.  Our first leg is 5 hours from Phnom Penh to Korea Incheon Airport, an 8 hours layover then an almost 11 hours fight to Seattle then into Salt Lake.

Although it was a long layover in Korea, there were plenty to see and shops to visit.

My last leg of the trip went from Seattle to Salt Lake City.  The last time we went thru immigration in Seattle was in 2018; it was a tiny space but this time, immigration is modern and large as you can see in the picture.  After a short 2 1/2 hour layover, I boarded the plane and arrived Salt Lake!  Then onto the Crapo home and you guessed it, first thing I did was holding this precious, cute baby!!

Immigration in Seattle, all modernized!
